Proving a hypothesis

3 identical jugs of water. However, one weighs more, how is this possible? This was the challenge set to y5 this week. We came up with a few scientific theories investigating the contents of jug C. Finally we decided to use our water cycle knowledge, in combination with our scientific equipment, and cause a chemical reaction. We evaporated the water and condensed it using a cold tray. We were left with sodium (salt) crystals in the pan. We looked at the crystals using our magnifying glass. This proved Mr Shillaw had dissolved salt into jug C to increase its density!
