What is special to you? (17.06.21)

On Thursday, F1 joined the rest of the school with their learning about another faith. The focus has been on Islam and in F1 we learnt that a prayer mat is a special object for someone who believes in Islam. We first had to think about what was special for us. Mrs Machen showed us a photo of her family, a straw teddy she had when she was a little girl and her pocket cross as her special objects. Lot's of us shared the names of our favourite cuddly toys as special objects and why they were special. Then we learnt that a prayer mat is a special object. We explored the mats, made our own craft prayer mats and made halal rice krispie treats, they were delicious.
