Can Penguins a fly?

FS 1 (Foundation 1) on: F1 Class Blog

This week we have learned that penguins have wings but can’t fly. We also learned that they live at the bottom of the world not near the Polar Bears who live at the top. We also learned the word collage and practiced our cutting and sticking skills.


Birds

This week, we’ve learned all about birds. We know they have feathers and wings. We made bird pictures. Then on Outdoor Friday we made birds nests and bird feeders, which we hung up around the school field.


Were going on a Polar Bear Hunt

FS 1 (Foundation 1) on: F1 Class Blog

This week F1 have been learning all about Polar a Bears. They have learned the word blubber and investigated how it keeps bears warm. They also know that Polar Bears are round at the cold top part of the world. In between all this they’ve made Polar bear pictures and poppy paintings for Rememberance Day.


We’ve been on a Bear Hunt

FS 1 (Foundation 1) on: F1 Class Blog

This week F1 have been reading’Were Going on a Bear a Hunt’ They’ve used scissors to make bear masks and learned about the difference between skin and fur. Then, on outdoor Friday they went on bear hunt. They went through the long wavy grass, the whooshing swooshing river, the thick oozing mud, the  dark scary forest , the swirling whirling snowstorm and finally found a bear in the dark gloomy cave. In between all this we did some firework scenes by splatter painting.
