Week 5: 23.5.22

Posted: May 22, 2022 by: FS 2 (Foundation 2) on: F2 Class Blog

Good morning F2,

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, and are ready for our last week of learning before the holidays :)

Here is the learning timetable for this week: F2 Timetable Week 5- 23.5.22.docx

We will be recapping all of the sounds we have learnt in RWInc this week. I have added all the links to all the sounds that have been covered in the different RWInc groups. These links can also be used over the half-term if you find yourself with a spare 10 minutes! They can be found here: RWInc Speed Sound Links 23.5.22.pdf

In Literacy, we will be writing a fact book all about our squirrel learning. We will also be writing lots of independent sentences as to be the best you can be in F2, you need to be able to write a sentence that can be read by other people! Let's keep practicing :D

In Maths, we will be using 10-frames and dice-frames to help us with our representations of the numbers 9 and 10. We'll also be singing the number bond rap song lots and lots

This week our Topic learning is continuing from last week and we will be learning some more facts about squirrels. We have lots of different artwork on the go and will be finishing these off.

In Come and See, we are moving on to our new topic: Friends. We will be looking at what makes a good friend and creating a recipe for some delicious friendship soup :)

All the resources that we are using this week are in the parent folders in the folder marked: Week 5: 23/5/22

REMINDER: We are celebrating the Queen's Jubilee on Friday. It is non-uniform day, so come dressed in something red, blue and white. We will be playing lots of games in the morning before having a party lunch.

If you need to pass on a message or have any questions, please contact us on our class email f2@olsj.org.uk and I will reply as soon as I can.

Love Mrs Pegg and Mrs Clark x
