Week 3: 20/6/22

Posted: Jun 19, 2022 by: FS 2 (Foundation 2) on: F2 Class Blog

Good morning F2,

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and that you're all ready to search faithfully for excellence!

Here is the learning timetable for this week: F2 Timetable Week 3- 20.6.22.docx

In Literacy, we are still reading the story Handa's Surprise. We are looking at plot point 3 and 4 this week and using the story for inspiration for our Independent Write on Friday

In Maths, we are consolidating the skills that we have learnt over this past year. This week we are looking at automatically recalling (without reference to rhymes, counting or other aids) number bonds up to 5 (including subtraction facts) and some number bonds to 10 (including doubles facts). We will be using a variety of different materials to help us do this including Numicon, our fingers and rekenreks. Here are a few resources that will help support your learning at home

In our Topic learning, this week's artist is PAUL KLEE and our star words are: print and collageWe will be using the paintings 'Castle and Sun' and 'Cat and Bird' as our art inspiration this week. There is a lovely video you can watch at home if you'd like to know more about Klee: Art with Mati and Dada-Klee

All the resources that we are using this week are in the parent folders in the folder marked: Week 3: 20/6/22. Please send me any work that you complete. If you need any further resources, please just drop me an email and I will send you what you need.

If you need to pass on a message or have any questions, please contact us on our class email f2@olsj.org.uk and I will reply as soon as I can.

REMINDER: Please can all book bags be returned by THURSDAY at the latest as this allows us to change books on Friday morning

PE DAYS: Please note that children must wear a white polo top with their school jumper/cardigan. Black/navy bottoms and trainers can also be worn. Earrings MUST be removed before coming to school.

Love Mrs Pegg and Mrs Clark x
