Our week - 17.6.21

Posted: Jun 17, 2021 by: Year 1 (Year 1) on: Year 1 Class Blog

Good morning children and grown-ups of Y1.

Year 1 have had a super busy week again this week.  We have been using our voices lots learning about pitch and learning our production, learning our lines and composing our own orchestra piece.

We have also had our own mini Euro's tournament and sweep stake which children absolutely loved.

Children also really excelled themselves in their writing this week, becoming an author by writing their own version of Little Red Riding Hood (ask them how their version of the story ends).

For homework this week, I would like children to practice the following two songs for the up coming production, they have already been sent home with the words:

I Love Red: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/music-ks1-little-red-riding-hood-song1/z74txyc

The Big Bad Wolf Has Gone: https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/school-radio/music-ks1-little-red-riding-hood-song7/zr7rbdm

You will need to click on the full vocal version.
