Week 3 - 13.9.21

Good morning children and grown-ups of Year 1.
I hope you have all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.
This week we are continuing writing instructions in literacy, this week focusing on how to make a kite. In maths we are continuing to master our place value of numbers within 10 and in science this week we will be investigating what materials are suitable for a kite's sail.We will also start to learn about the significant person Amy Johnson and the UK in our topic lessons.
Our school councilor speeches and votes will take place Monday morning with the successful councillors announced in our assembly Monday afternoon.
