Den building and homework - 17.9.21

Good evening children and grown-ups of Year 1.

The children have worked so hard this week and there were lots of tired faces leaving school today, I hope they all have a good rest this weekend.

This week children have been involved in a science investigation to find a suitable material for their kites sail, started to write instructions on how to make a kite and have flown a kite in their outdoor Friday session.  As well as kite flying in outdoor Friday, they were also tasked in making a waterproof den which was then tested out by pouring water over it whilst they were inside! The children had lots of fun doing this :-)

Please make sure childrens reading books are read at least three times at home each week.  Books are changed each Friday so all books need to be brought back then.
