Posted: Jan 16, 2022 by: Year 6 (Year 6) on: Year 6 Class Blog

Good morning, year 6.

I hope you have all had a lovely, restful weekend, and that you are all ready for another week of searching faithfully for excellence.

This week we are learning:

Numeracy: Finishing our fractions unit.

Literacy: Improving our instructions

Science: What is air resistance?

Come and See: Sources

Topic: What is the Earth made of?

Comprehension: Non-fiction text

Home learning: For any children that are isolating from home, this week's resources are available to access in the home learning folder > Week beginning 17.1.22. This week's numeracy lessons are linked on the timetable for you to view.

PE will be on Tuesday, so make sure you come to school in your PE kit.

Forest School is on Thursday, so make sure you come in your Forest School kit.

Remember, homework is due on Tuesday 18th January. You need to have completed both lessons on Bedrock, spent 15 minutes on TT Rockstars and completed our spelling shed assignment.

Don't forget that our SATs boosters start on Wednesday 19th January. This is 3-4pm and snacks and squash will be provided.

As always, if you have any concerns or questions feel free to email me on Y6@olsj.org.uk and I will respond as soon as I can. Alternatively, you can email worrywednesday@olsj.org.uk

Let's have another great week.
