Making our own kites

Following our investigation into suitable materials to make a kite with last week. Children this week have designed and started to make their own kites.
Children worked in pairs to assemble, saw, draw and cut materials in order to manipulate them into a kite structure.
Children have so far build the main kite structure and will be revisiting the kite to add the string and the handle later this week.
Year 1 showed some great resilience and team work today!
