Let's go fly a kite

After adding our finishing touches to our kites; string, handle, tail and bow. Year 1 were ready to go and test out their kites.
Firstly checking they had good kite flying weather, children set out to test their products suitability as a flyable kite.
Children had a great time testing out their kites, many with great success. Others unfortunatley did not quite gain the lift and thrust associated with a successful kite which led to a good discussion in our evaluation as to what went wrong and what they would do different time.
Children were excited to take their kites home to continue to use outside of school.
Well done Year 1.
