Year 6 (Year 6) on: Year 6 Home Learning Blog

Good morning Year 6! I hope you all enjoyed looking at the photographs - I know some of the grown ups at school shed a little tear when they watched. There are two things to share today as part of our Virtual Leavers' week.

Firstly, here is the link to the Leavers' Mass. Fr Martin has said Mass for all of you and your families and we all take this opportunity to say that you will be in our prayers especially as you leave Our Lady and St Joseph's School to begin the next stage of your journey. Trust that God will always be with you.

Secondly, some people were able to make a Rainbow Film for all of us to share!

We are all so proud in school of the young people you have become and we are privileged to have shared some of that journey with you.

Year 6 (Year 6) on: Year 6 Home Learning Blog

Good morning Year 6. Here we are in our very last week of the year. It's a time to look back on all we have achieved and all that has happened. You have experienced Year 6 like no other class before you and I am so proud of how you have carried on through all the difficulties and disappointments we have all felt.

I looked back at this picture from the beginning of the year and knew that we could never have imagined what the future held when we spent the day in church reflecting on our journey through life.

On our timetable this week you'll find some transition activities that you might want to take part in and of course I'll be sending you links and reminders for our Virtual Leavers' activities.

Good morning Y6! Here is a message from Travel South Yorkshire about applying for travel passes.

Get ready for September. Apply now for a MegaTravel Pass.

Cheaper travel is available for all under 16s living in South Yorkshire with a MegaTravel Pass. MegaTravellers can travel in South Yorkshire for a single fare of 80p per journey on buses or trams. They can also buy discounted 1, 7 or 28 day tickets, which are loaded onto the pass, which might be cheaper if they travel regularly. Under 16s travelling without a valid pass may be charged full fare, so even if your pupils are not travelling on public transport right now, we’re encouraging early application so they’re ready to go in September. The pass proves a child is eligible to travel for the concessionary fare on public transport in South Yorkshire.

Instructions on how to apply for a MegaTravel Pass are available at

https://www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/megatravel

You will also find a letter for parents/carers in the folder.
