At Our Lady & St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our pupils, families, staff and visitors.
The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 set out how personal information must be collected, used, stored and shared.
Why do we collect personal information?
Schools need personal information to support children’s education, keep them safe and well, communicate with families and meet legal responsibilities. This may include contact details, attendance records, assessment information and relevant medical or additional needs information.
We are committed to handling this information fairly, keeping it secure and sharing it only where there is a lawful reason to do so.

Your Rights
Data protection law gives individuals rights over their personal information, including requesting access and asking for inaccurate information to be corrected. Other rights, such as requesting deletion or objecting to its use, apply in certain circumstances.
