A New Year 4.1.21
Posted: Jan 3, 2021 by: FS 2 (Foundation 2) on: SEN Home Learning Blog
Hello all grown-ups of OLASJ,
While we still find ourselves in these uncertain times, we are conscious that children may need to self-isolate for a multitude of reasons throughout the remainder of the academic year. While your child is isolating, we are aware that they may need additional resources to support their learning at home.
The files below have been categorised in to the 4 broad areas of SEN, as defined by the SEN code of Practice, 2014. There is Cognition and Learning (which includes poor working memory, dyslexia and mild/moderate learning difficulties), Communication and Interaction (which includes ASD and speech and language difficulties), Social, Emotional and Mental Health and Sensory and Physical (which includes fine and gross motor difficulties and sensory play ideas)
In each of these folders, you will find a list of websites that support each need and resources to support learning. These will be updated regularly-so please keep checking back! Please feel free to look in each folder, even if your child may not have difficulty in that area, as you may find resources/websites that will benefit your child. The resources contained in the SEMH folder may also be useful for any child who is finding things difficult
If you do have any questions/concerns, then please do email us on: email@example.com as this is checked daily and someone will respond to your query
