British Science Week

Year 5 (Year 5) on: Year 5 Class Blog

British Science Week is a special time of year when we celebrate science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) in the UK.

It's organized by a group of people who want to get everyone excited about how cool science and engineering can be!

Every year, British Science Week has a special theme, which is a bit like a big idea that everyone can explore together.

This year, the theme of British Science Week is: ‘Connections’ and Year 5 have been learning all about chemical reactions.

Today, we observed the reaction between white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and food colouring to make fizzy colours!
