Week 4: 16/5/22

Good morning F2,

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, enjoying the beautiful sunshine we've been having :)

In Literacy, we are finishing the unit on Bear Hunt and ending with plot point 5. We have 2 independent writing sessions this week as we will be writing plot points 3 and 4, before finishing with plot point 5...let's show everyone how amazing we are with our writing!

In Maths, we will be using 10-frames and dice-frames to help us with our representations of the numbers 9 and 10. We'll also be singing the number bond rap song lots and lots

This week our big Topic question is: What is a grey squirrel? Our new star word is: drey. We will be spending the next two weeks learning lots about the animals that come and visit our outdoor area. We will be producing lots of stunning artwork, which we hope to share with you all!

In Come and See, we are carrying on our learning about the story of Pentecost and what the Holy Spirit is. We will be making ribbons to dance outside with...fingers crossed for sunshine with a tiny bit of wind!

REMINDER: We are having our FS open morning on Friday and we are looking forward to welcoming all of your grown-ups to see what we've been getting up to since September.
