Week 4: 27.6.22

Good morning F2,
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and that you're all ready to search faithfully for excellence!

In Literacy, we are finishing Handa's Surprise and looking at the last plot point on Monday and Tuesday. We will then be using plot point 4 and 5 for our Independent Write on Friday.
In Maths, we are consolidating the skills that we have learnt over this past year. This week we are looking 'comparing quantities up to 10 in different contexts, recognising when one quantity is greater than, less than or the same as the other' Here are a few resources that will help support your learning at home:
- Listening to the subitising song, which is a firm favourite in F2 here: Subitise to 5 super fast
- use the website called Topmarks, where you can practice some of the skills we're covering this week by playing games on your tablet/computer
- Watch these Numberblocks episodes: Blockzilla, Peekaboo and Balancing Bridge
In our Topic learning, this week's artist is Claude Monet and our star words are: dab and texture. We will be using the paintings 'Lilac Irises' and 'Japanese Bridge' as our art inspiration this week.
All the resources that we are using this week are in the parent folders in the folder marked: Week 4: 27/6/22. Please send me any work that you complete. If you need any further resources, please just drop me an email and I will send you what you need.

REMINDER: Please can all book bags be returned by THURSDAY at the latest as this allows us to change books on Friday morning
PE DAYS: Please note that children must wear a white polo top with their school jumper/cardigan. Black/navy bottoms and trainers can also be worn. Earrings MUST be removed before coming to school.
