Week Commencing 24th April

Posted: Apr 23, 2023 by: Year 3 (Year 3) on: Year 3 Class Blog

Hi Year 3,

Well done for a fantastic first week back. We enjoyed lots of new learning and I was so impressed with your knowledge about rivers. Thank-you as well to all of you who completed your homework task on writing a short poem about Rivers. I will be choosing a couple to put up on our display this week.

In forest school we created maps of our school, as we will be designing and using maps within our new topic and in Science we took our learning outside and sketched some of our favourite plants, annotating the parts of the plant and their functions.

Enjoy looking photos of this below:

This week we will continue with our new learning and we will have our spelling test on Wednesday afternoon. Please ensure children continue practicing spellings:

build

guide

fruit

circle

bicycle

accident

actual

straight

weight

height

Children also need to bring 5 of their favourite personal items and a carrier bag for our literacy experience day on Tuesday.

The timetable can be found here: WC 24th April.docx

Let's have a lovely week and we can't wait to see you tomorrow.

Love,

Miss Castleton, Mrs Deakin and Mrs Lambert
